International Medical Education Directory (IMED) a web-based resource on the world’s medical schools that is freely available on the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER ®) website at www.faimer.org
Status of the WHO Directory - World Directory of Medical Schools of the World Health Organization (WHO);
ECFMG Credentials Verification – Ask ECFMG if you are unsure about a school name or program change: How Board Licensing Staff can inquire of the ECFMG if they are trying to verify from what school an individual graduated and name changes of programs.
Update: ECFMG credentials verification service that countries outside the U.S. are using to credential U.S. licensed physicians. The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG®) established the International Credentials Services (EICS) in 2000 to assist international medical registration authorities in obtaining primary source verification of medical education and registration credentials of physicians applying for licensure whose medical education was completed outside their jurisdictions. EICS offers assistance to these authorities by obtaining primary source verification of medical school diplomas, medical school transcripts, certificates of postgraduate training and certificates of medical registration.

Online License Renewals
System Automation provides an integrated solution for licensing, online renewals and practitioner profiles. Clients have been able to achieve online adoption rates greater than 85%. Physicians can renew their license online and update their profile information at the same time. The information is then made available through SA’s public verification module.
